At Growing Minds, everything begins with a simple belief: every child has the potential to flourish when they are nurtured, understood, and encouraged to be themselves.
What ages do you care for?
I welcome children from 6 months to 11 years. Each child’s needs are different, so I adapt activities and routines to suit their age and stage of development.
What are your opening hours?
My usual hours are 8:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. I try to be as flexible as possible, so if you need slightly different hours, please feel free to ask.
Do you provide meals and snacks?
Yes — healthy, balanced meals and snacks are included. I can also accommodate dietary requirements, allergies, or preferences with prior notice.
What activities do you offer?
Each day is a mixture of play, learning, and rest. Activities include arts and crafts, outdoor play, story time, free play, and age-appropriate learning opportunities. I also encourage children to explore nature and the local community whenever possible.
How do you support children with special educational needs (SEN)?
With over 10 years’ experience as a teaching assistant in SEN, I am confident in adapting care to meet a wide range of needs. Every child is unique, and I work closely with parents to ensure the right support is in place.
How many children do you care for at once?
As a registered childminder, I follow Ofsted’s guidelines on ratios. This ensures that every child receives the attention, supervision, and support they need.
Are you registered and insured?
Yes — I am fully registered with local authority, hold public liability insurance, and maintain all required training including paediatric first aid and safeguarding.
What should my child bring with them?
Depending on their age, you may need to pack nappies, spare clothes, comfort items, or any special dietary items. I’ll provide a checklist when your child starts to make things easier.
How do you keep parents updated?
Communication is really important to me. I’ll keep you informed about your child’s day through daily handovers, messages, or a communication app, if used.
What are your fees?
