Child Minding, West Sussex
I’m Lacey, and after more than a decade working as a teaching assistant with children who have special educational needs (SEN), I’ve taken the leap into creating my own childminding space here in West Sussex. My career so far has been defined by patience, empathy, and a genuine love of helping children discover their strengths.
Working in the SEN field taught me so much — not just about education, but about resilience, creativity, and the power of connection. For ten years, I supported children with a wide range of needs, acting as an advocate, mentor, and source of encouragement. Those experiences have shaped who I am as a childminder today.

For me, childminding isn’t just a job — it’s a calling. I want families to feel reassured that their children are in safe, capable, and caring hands, and I want children to feel excited to spend their time here.
